hello all! i jailbroke my phone last night with the tinman/zibri method. all seems to be going well for the most part.
i downloaded iPhoneBrowser today just to look around on my phone a little, but everytime i try to access the ringtones or sounds area, i get the following message:
---------------------------
iPhoneBrowser
---------------------------
Error: The program could not find the path '/System/Library/Audio/UISounds' on your iPhone. Have you successfully used jailbreak?
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
any ideas? my phone IS jailbroken.

i got OpenSSH in Installer. to install, just locate OpenSSH in installer and touch install. when you install it, you don't see it DO anything. it's just there and allows you to have file access to your phone.
then download iPhone browser here: http://code.google.com/p/iphonebrowser/downloads/list
select the one called iPhoneBrowser.1.52.zip (http://iphonebrowser.googlecode.com/files/iPhoneBrowser.1.52.zip) and save it to your desktop. unzip the program and run from there. iPhone must be connected to laptop in order to use.
hope this helps!

you can only get openSSH from the installer app, the way i understand it. is that what you're missing?
is your phone jailbroken?

the ziphone jailbreak is the only once i've used. i can't speak for any other jailbreak, but i'm sure this can be done with previous jailbreak versions.
i used iPhoneBrowser and at first, i could only see the same things you did.
then i performed this fix: http://www.everythingicafe.com/forum/190613-post83.html by accessing the phone's file structure using WinSCP (http://limitededitioniphone.com/windows-guide-to-using-winscp-with-iphone/). after THAT, then i could access the iPhone's file structure with iPhoneBrowser.
both iPhoneBrowser and WinSCP will let you access the iPhone's file structure, but i think iPhoneBrowser is way easier.
WinSCP can be found here (http://limitededitioniphone.com/windows-guide-to-using-winscp-with-iphone/). but first, do the fix in the link above (thanks tinman for that!). good luck. let me know if anything is not clear.

the plist is here: http://www.everythingicafe.com/forum/190613-post83.html - look towards the bottom of tinman's post. it's called services.plist.txt. follow the tutorial on that page to replace the .plist in iPhoneBrowser in order to get it to work.

Is there any way to do this without WinSCP. For whatever reason I can't get that to work.

yes. go to installer, hit sources, add the source i.unlock.no and then go to the install tab, scroll down to the unlocking tools category, open, and choose ZiPhone iBrickr fix.. and that should let iphonebrowser and ibrickr be able to access your filesystem.
hope this helps.
