As predicted the full 1.1.3 jailbreak has been released. No more downgrading to 1.1.1 and then clawing your way back to a kludged 1.1.3.

This jailbreak can jailbreak and activate bootloader 3.9 iPhones, and it can jailbreak, activate, and unlock bootloader iPhones. Bootloader 3.9 came with out-of-box 1.1.1 iPhones and earlier. Bootloader 4.6 shipped on OTB 1.1.2 and 1.1.3 OTB iPhones.

Download it here:
http://rapidshare.com/files/90992326/jailbreak113full.zip.html (http://rapidshare.com/files/90988638/jailbreak113full.zip.html)

Success! By FAR this was way easier than the previous jailbreak methods.

See the guide here:

The link doesn't work - perhaps an error in the URL?

I just tried and it worked OK. Try it again, it's prolly getting hammered.

Indeed. I shouldn't have questioned you!

Thanks - I've been bored to tears with my stock 1.1.3 phone (although I have to admit Safari doesn't crash anymore...)

That's normal.

Edit: I deleted that link since the zip had nested folders which could be a pain for some people. Zipped it up myself, with a few batch files to negate the need to type anything at a command prompt, and uploaded it to RapidShare:

ok... thanks.

I dont mean to get to ahead of myself but is this something that will be worth resoring back to normal 1.1.3 and then re-jailbreaking using this method? Right now i am 1.1.3 jailbroke with dev teams and 666 tutorial.

This is the real jailbreak! I first tried it on an already (soft) jailbroken 1.1.3 and it didn't appear to work. So since this was originally developed for OTB iPhones it seemed better to start from scratch. Doing it again now...

Yeah, those soft upgrades didn't seem to be worth the hassle to me, let us know the deal!!!

Do you have to do a full restore as in don't allow it to resync your contacts and such? or is it okay to let it do so?

From the readme.txt:

Unlock and Imei changer will work ONLY on 4.6 BL (112 and 113 ootb). So, I guess not then:frown:

Don't use this to unlock BL 3.9 iPhones! But they can be unlocked with Geohot's IPSF method first, then updated to 1.1.3 and jailbroken using Ziphone.

It's already unlocked. So, at what point does it get relocked to the use Geohots IPSF method?

I believe you will have to virginize first. Then use this tut to unlock BB 3.9 in 1.1.3:
http://mytrini-iphone.blogspot.com/2008/02/how-to-unlock-113-with-39bl.html

Then you can do a restore in iTunes and run this tut. The unlock should hold and you'll have the (full) 1.1.3 jailbreak, unlocked.

No. If your iPhone is already locked you should revirginize it first. Then run this tut to unlock it:
http://mytrini-iphone.blogspot.com/2008/02/how-to-unlock-113-with-39bl.html

Then restore to 1.1.3 using iTunes and you can use the new jailbreak, the lock done above should stay in effect.

I only use iTunes 7.6 now.

If you used Geohot's IPSF unlock you are good to go (restore via iTunes then use the new jailbreak--shoudn't need to unlock again).

Mike, I'm still a bit unclear on this. Can I use this method if I have a "bought-on-iDay" phone that is not unlocked?

Thanks in advance!

I keep getting a bus error on my early iday phone (around iDay + 2 vintage, origianl 1.0 phone) - could be I'm trying the Mac version of the source tool (directly from Zibr blog) and there are reports of issues on Mac. I'll try later on XP box at home.

Yeah -- if I do this, it'll probably be in Windows, since that seems to be the more stable version until an updated OSX model comes out.

iPhoneAtlas (http://www.iphoneatlas.com/2008/02/11/one-step-true-jailbreakunlock-for-iphone-113-released/) reports that downgrading iTunes is necessary. You guys been doing that? Perhaps that is why Mac is having issues?

Absolutely. No need to do the unlock at all. I use it just for jailbreaking.

Thanks, Mike. My brother, who's a new iPhone owner, wants me to jailbreak his iPhone on Friday. I'm going to try it on mine in a few minutes to see how it goes.

Update: Wow! It really is as easy as advertised! Two or three minutes and you're jailbroken!

Further update: Crap -- I don't have any ringtones or system sounds anymore! I can't hear a thing!

Okay, I have 1.1.3 jailbroken. Everything seems to work now except for email. The mail app opens, then closes again after a few seconds. Any ideas?
