Need a Video Converter for iPod Nano

Hi all,
I’m newbie here, it is my first post and hope you will help me. Actually I recently got some movies and each movie is about 20 min in .AVI format which I want to store in my new iPod Nano. Does anybody have any idea that can solve my problem?

I use Handbrake, which is hosted in France...converts all my vids be it on PC or Mac. Two versions are available. www.handbrake.fr. Free dude, it's free.

Another one is ffmpeg, which needs a bit of installing on the Mac to run. You need to install the codecs separately but it works well. Google "ffmpeg" with OSX if you are keen.

It's Shareware, but Toast is the best option in this field. However, if video converting is all you need it for, don't buy it. It offers pretty much anything you might need to do with a disk.
