why didn't he show off his nipple shield? I thought that was one of the better halftime shows in recent years.

I like all kinds of genres of music, but love Tom Petty - and love that they kept it simple - no big stage show and all that crap for him - just play the songs ...

I loved how the kept it simple as well, it was a nice change of pace from the over-the-top productions a lot of people do these days. I can understand how the younger crowd (ha, I'm 21 saying that) wouldn't appreciate it.
