It's pretty good! I'm listening to the reggae station in the world music category right now while enjoying a nice spinach omelette.

Me, me, me!! I submitted a request several days ago but expected to wait a while before receiving the email. I've noticed that I'm not alone and that iPhone users in general seem to be an impatient bunch of people..:tounge:..so if you could send me that email, that'd be greeeeat!

Flytunes' not working too well for. No matter what I choose, I get a message "couldn't tune to any relevant station". Either there's no radio around here or this isn't working at all.
Addendum: it's working, but the only station I can get is "Today's Hits". I think I'll pass.

It was working great for me earlier today, but now I'm getting that same message.

IphoneTony already posted a thread giving everyone the login info need for FlyTunes. Click HERE (http://www.everythingicafe.com/forum/general-discussion/flytunes-sent-me-email-i-can-forward-it-22032.html) to view his thread.
OR
Go to THIS SITE (http://www.flytunes.fm/External/Registration.aspx?user=anthonyg80@comcast.net)on your iPhone and then enter the info it asks for. Once you get to the main page save it to your iPhones home screen so you don't have to enter everything the next time you go there.
Once you get it set up you can listen to online music. It's just like listening to the radio. Pretty cool.
Thanks again Tony.

Flytunes kept me company all day while writing papers. Loved listening to NPR and Todays Rock.
Now it's under maintenance until 2PM tomorrow.

anone else know how to view the album art like screen in the demos? Mine just shows a list of stations. I couldn't find a button to get there. Maybe I'm missing something. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

I agree. I live in Boston, and I could tune about 3 or 4 stations. I removed it from by bookmarks.

I guess if you live in a small area without alot of radio stations it would be OK. Otherwise any town of any size will have tons of stations like these and you can save your battery for the ipod.

You guys are crazy, flytunes rocks. At least for me, it's better than listening to FM radio through my alarm clock in my dorm.

Denver might not be NYC, but getting only 1 station (that I don't like) is not rocking anything. FlyTunes is coming off my homescreen.

I'll second this. All 40-50 channels work great for me. Listening right now as I type.:laugh2:

Well, I changed my mind. I tried it again before getting rid of it, and now even the eclectic channel "Classical guitar" is working. Maybe that update they did last night really helped.

Alright! It was down for maintenance last night so maybe. I wish there were a few more channels but hopefully they'll update the lineup in time.
Thanks, Ed. This works great. :laugh2:

I think what everyone must remember is that this is a brand new... er... site. Give them time to get all of the bugs worked out and I think it will be VERY popular with most iPhone owners. Think about the possibilities of this. Not only can they put out audio, but there's always the option of pumping out videos, complete movies, and yes... even advertising (a great way for them to make money). There is so much that can be done with this and they are just starting out so let's give them a chance to prove themselves.
I, for one, am already happy with what they've done so far.http://static.flickr.com/60/201007926_a74c2c11b1_m.jpg

just imagine if apple took them for an "official app" Would it be possible to make visualizations to the sound of the track, like media player. That would be amazing.

So.. what type of stations are actually on here? Is it just playlists of certain types of music, or is it actual stations? International - BBC Radio for instance? Cause if it's just random genre playlists I am not interested. I can't seem to find any detailed info about what this app is and where the content comes from...
is there anyone that I can pm so that they can sign me up. If so, thanks :)
