About to buy Iphone [QUESTION]

ok ive been reading up on these forums for awhile now and i was just wondering what i should know before i buy, and what serial on the box should i go for because i think im gonna ask at&t if i can check the boxes.

If your not looking to jailbreak then it really doesn't make a difference.

i know but i'm extremely interested in jailbreaking and i just want the simplest way to do it.

I'm pretty sure they won't have a selection of different firmware on their phones. Any of the oldest would be sold first and then they would bring out the newer version. Apple is a meticulous organization.

Why don't you just ask a young kid that is working at at&t which serial box you should get.. tell them exactly what you want to do... they probably really don't give a crap what you do with it.. Apple on the other hand would be different... You have nothing to lose.. You could just go to a different store if you get denied

yeah I have found that the at&t people dont really give a ****...but as that might make it easier for you to ask him/her about serial numbers at the same time they just might not care enough to go through the effort for you to find a certain one if they have it.
