Not quite dead-but-almost-dead strip

Had a dead strip on my phone this morning. Apparently, there is no way to fix this. It's hardware related...


This is going to be a short thread.
12:15-Left my office for the mall
12:26-got to the Apple store
12:32-talked to somebody at the genius bar
12:35-my sims is in a new phone!
12:55-Home - Phone is upgrading itself to 1.1.3 (was 1.1.2)
13:06-syncing all my stuff

It looks like I'll be back in the office by 13:30.

Now, that's what I call efficient. Certainly can't complain about Apple's customer service.

Yeah they're great. Ive had two replacements and they never ask for a reciept or anything.

Never had a bad experience at an Apple store. The few times I have had a problem it has always been a no questions asked, here is your new one.
