The purchase of my phone was more a matter of when I believed the hardware was mature. Two friends acquired this phone the very night it became available. Between them, they were up to four or five exchanges before the middle of September.

After that, neither had any more problems and ... well, the girlfriend went and snagged me one as a surprise. :D

My 8gb isn't enough for all my music I couldn't imagine living with a 4gb. When they come out with a 16gb w/ GPS I'll give this one to my girlfriend.

I got my 8gb about 2 weeks after iday. I was going to get a 4gb but they were out and guessed about a 2-3 week wait. I almost waited because of the $100 difference. I'm really glad I didn't. I hope V2 is offered in a 16 gig.

Yeah I use my iPod still. There's no chance I could fit all my music on my iPhone. I just filled it up with lots of good frequently listened to stuff. It is damn nice to plug my phone in to my car and listen to music

Got a 4 gig on "iDay" but upgraded last week to an 8 gig. I love having more room for movies and music. I have 30+ gigs of music, so I have smart playlists set up for the phone, and then I'll rip some tv show dvd's as well. Couldn't do that w/the 4...

...plus i like to have lots of music to listen to because im very bipolar when it comes to music... country one minute underground hip-hop the next... total eclipse of the heart (the dan band version) one minute A.D.I.D.A.S. by korn the next...i cant just have a few songs by an artist either...i need complete albums for some reason...id say 85% of my music collection is full albums not just singles...so having the extra space was most definitely need
