New tariffs for UK 02 customers

All UK/02 iPhone customers receive an upgrade starting 1st February ...


The £35 tariff now gives you 600 minutes and 500 texts

The £45 tariff now gives you 1200 minutes and 500 texts

The new £75 tariff now gives you 3000 minutes and 500 texts


I'm delighted as I was on the £35 one, so this has trebled my text allowance!

Saw this over on the Apple Discussion forum, great news for us Brits.

Can't help wondering why though, could it be that sales aren't quite what they - O2 & Apple - were hoping for? Either way it's great news.

According to the Metro this morning, sales were 100,000 less than predicted?

I wouldn't trust the Metro tho.

Great news... I'm gonna move my account over to an official iPhone contract now... but I might wait until Friday (1st Feb)... it mentions that existing contract holders may have to wait until the middle of march for their tariffs to be upgraded, even though the tariffs change on the 1st Feb !!! :gasp:

I'll be pissed if that's the case. Those of us who have been loyal since day 1 should get the upgrade first if anything!

I also received a text from 02 telling me that my tariff changes from February 1st, so my March bill will show the amended costs.
