All 4gig iPhone owners welcome here. Band together to help each other out, share nifty space-saving methods, which case do you use to hide the 4gig markings, etc..........
I will start,
My name is Kris, and I have a 4gig iPhone. Luckily, I don't know anyone else with an iPhone, so I'm a baller reguardless:2cool:. I have converted my iTunes library to 128kbs acc instead of mp3 so that saves tons of space. I really don't keep much video on mine (except Blue Harvest, a necessity) and I reguarlly upload my pics to Photobucket......
Now it's your turn. Don't be shy, you're with friends..................

Unfortunately, $500 was all I could spend back in July. I have a few short videos on the iPhone, and several songs with about 25 contacts.
I'll definitely get an 8GB when 2.0 comes out.

Yup, 4gb here too. I keep a real limited amount of music / podcasts (for not very long) on the phone, and almost never any video ...

I have the iPhone Fully Loaded book by Andy hnatko and in that he says talks about using smart playlists to keep his iPhone full and constantly changing. I thought some of you guys might find this useful, and if you want to know anything else that you think might be in the book, just ask :D

Yeah, I just make Smart Playlists of 500-700 randomly chosen songs and sync an new one every few days. This only takes up about 1.5gigs!

I prefer David Pogue's but, since I'm in the UK, and his book is mostly for US, like how to email pictures to phones as a MMS alterative, then it's mostly useless to me......

Hmm, I hadn't tried Pogue's yet - might give that a look. Also have Erica Sadun's that I've started sort of simultaneously with Andy's. Wherabouts in the UK you from?

London was awesome (apart from weather of course), Glasgow was pretty good too. Moved (from London) to Austin 7 years ago. British / American = have both passports - born in US, my father was British ...

4 Gig Ftw!
I had a 4 gig when iPhone first came out. I never went with a phone provider since I am very happy with Sprint and have been for 6 yrs. I've been out of a contract for 4 yrs now and still have sprint :D Happy, yes indeed :D
My iPods carry my music and videos, so my only motivation for having the iPhone was for the "computer in your pocket" aspect. My Dell X51 PDA was great, but it was still a PDA. Being a Mac user and having a MacBook the iPhone was the perfect "mini-me" MacBook. All my safari bookmarks synced right over, my mail, everything. It was literally the perfect solution for a MacBook in my pocket.
Unfortunately I sold the phone for reasons I still don't understand and now have a Touch. While I thought it would basically be the same, the lack of a speaker means I don't have a way to hear audible confirmation of mail, the lack of a vibration feature means that not only can I not hear it, I cannot feel it either so I have no way to know when I get mail unless to go in and manually check it over and over. Also the Touch has no volume buttons anywhere so I have to bring up the control every time i want to do something rather than just grab it from the side.
For someone like myself who does not put music or movies on it, the storage is more than enough for apps and files. I only wish I could find another 4 gig laying around. People seem to be holding on to them, but I think with the new 16g's being release today that I might find me another one soon :)
