Recently (2 days ago) I purchased an iPhone and I have no background with Apple products, or the Mac OSX. So if a few of you experts wouldn't mind answering a few questions, I'd greatly appreciate it :)
First.... as far as my reading has taken me, It is my understanding that there is no way to "jail break" a phone that is currently on 1.1.3 Firmware? All the programs (including iBrickr) tell me I need to downgrade to 1.1.2, or 1.1.1 -- last time I attempted to do this, I destroyed my phone, and had to restore it :\
Then, with iBrickr I used the feature where you could upload "ringtones" as *.mp3 and it'll load it onto your iPhone. According to the program it worked, and the song I used is on my phone, but does not show up in my "Ringtone" settings on my iPhone.
I'm just a bit confused as to how one goes about modifying their phone. I'm just quite confused!
