how to get data back on jb'ed 1.1.3?

i jailbroke my phone to 1.1.3 and i remember them saying that the backup wont work on past versions, so i would have to set up my phone as a new one, but now that im up to 1.1.3, i dont know how to get all my data back, its very very important.btw i had to downgrade from original 1.1.3 to 1.1.2 first

If it's data that's held in an iTunes backup (Notes, SMS, Preferences, etc.) then it depends if that backup still exists. Go into iTunes Preferences, and open the iphone tab. See if there's an existing backup there.

well there is a backup but the only way I know of getting that stuff back on is if I restore and I don't want to. If I have to I will. But first, I tried plugging my iPhone into the computer and iTunes say that an iPhone was recognized but was unable to be identified, please unplug and try again. So I did that a couple times and it still isn't working.
