Hey everyone,

In a bit of a rush trying to get this out there; however, I have posted a tutorial on how to update your 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 iPhone to jailbroken 1.1.3 iPhone firmware.

The tutorial is windows only right now; however, a mac one is coming.

Take a look!

Thanks!

Yeah, I'm wondering too if all your apps will be there when this is all done or if you have to install everything all over again? When doing this, does iTunes backup your contacts, sms messages, emails, etc? I don't wanna lose everything!

Looks like all my apps are gone :S Even had to reinstall ssh.

I've created a Mac tutorial as well it can be found here:

Do you have to have an activated 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 jailbroken iPhone? I updated to 1.1.3 so if I go down to 1.1.1 with the installer app installed, I can do the jailbreak to get back to a jailbroken 1.1.3 iPhone that is activated?

Quick Question:

Should I uninstall all of my apps before doing this? Or does it not matter?

uninstall summerboard and a couple of other things, but I know when I'm going to upgrade, I'm going to write down what I had then uninstall it.

Possible timesaver, depending on how many apps you have installed - I took a few quick screencaps of my apps screens, mailed them to myself, and then used those for ref when re-installing stuff under 1.1.3 ...
