30G Video Wont Sync

Im trying to sync my ipod and it wont stay connected. when I plug it up it stays on the do not disconnect screen for a litte bit and then after about 5 seconds it goes back to the main menu. Any suggestions? I tried to uninstall and reinstall iTunes but it didnt work.

Try a reset on the iPod (push the top and middle buttons on the wheel at the same time.)
