im on the fence about it so i wanted to get the views of my fellow iPhoneys here at EverythingiCafe...so what it is guys Yay, Nay, or On the Fence?

Gonna try & wait until 1.1.3 is jailbroken... I love all my 3rd pty apps, and, not to sound like a fashionista, but I'd also miss my custom homescreen background & icons....

Definitely going to update. I could care less about buggy unreliable 3rd party apps. I'll wait until the SDK so I can get effective apps.

I am waiting a few days to see what happens in the jailbroken world and whether there are any problems reported by people that have updated. If they can jailbreak 1.1.3 then I will definitely be updating. I do not have problems with buggy unreliable 3rd party apps (research them before you install them and you won't have this problem) and the ones I do run are running great and something I have become accustomed to having on my phone.

Most definitely. However, I'm waiting to watch the Keynote (when Apple puts it up) before I do anything else.

Most of the third party apps I use (NES, SMB, Customize, iPhysics...) work fine. I also enjoy the cosmetic benefits of a jailbroken iPhone. And, the new software update doesn't really do much for me. I usually know where I am (lol) so I don't need pseudo-gps. SMSD takes care of multiple texts, and Customize allows me to move my icons as I wish. I'll wait till a 1.1.3 jailbreak (that doesn't require an MIT degree) and/or if the SDK release in Feb. offers some cool apps...

i already did it and here's why:
-i haven't modded only because of sheer laziness(i'm not against modding)
-i know that eventually people will figure out how to jailbreak the new update(apple can't stop the people)

I am soooooo tempted but I haven't. I am on the fence and not sure what to do. I love my mods but I want to check out the upgrade too. I am sure I will give in. I did last time.

i just re-read your post... i may have misunderstood the first time. are you wanting to know if you can upgrade to a stock 1.1.3? If so, that is not an issue; you can just plug in to itunes and click "restore" and it'll do its thing... be warned, though... there is no way to go back to 1.1.2 yet.

If, however, you want a jailbroken 1.1.3 (like i was originally thinking you meant), then you'll have to wait.
