yesterday i had a problem that my clock section of the phone didnt work .. so to the advice of some members i upgraded it by learning from a video .. i downlgraded to 1.1.1 and than to 1,1,2 now .. it says that INCORECT SIM INSERT AN UNLOCKED AND VALID SIM TO ACTIVATE IPHONE
when i got this phone it was alredy unlocked and i just put my sim card in it and it worked .. now i have a problem .. can please anyone help
oh and it gave this error since the beggining of the prosidure .. please help please !!!!!!!

im guessing you got the phone with unlock 1.1.2 bc u said u downgraded to 1.1.1. before you went from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 did you install Oktoprep? and when you got to 1.1.2 did you use 1.1.2 jailbreak?

ok, when you went from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 did you restore to it or upgrade to it?

I presssed shift and upgrade and then i put 1.1.2 restore ..

so you upgraded to 1.1.2. what happen when you try to use 1.1.2 jailbreak?

you could do is
put phone in DFU mode
restore back to 1.1.1, you will get an error(and kick it out of DFU mode with 1.1.2 jailbreak)
and use jailbreakme.com
remember to put autolock to never
using installer, install baseband downgrader to downgrader back to 3.14.xx
baseband
(DFU mode) restore back to 1.1.1 to get a clean 1.1.1.
after that use jailbreakme.com again
install Oktoprep
(dont put in DFU mode just connect to itunes) UPGRADE to 1.1.2.
use 1.1.2jailbreak
then install anysim1.2.1u
put phone to aireplane mode
put autolock to never
run anysim1.2.1u

*fix guide. dont put phone in DFU mode when u going to 1.1.1 to 1.1.2. when you connect to itunes it will find it and and you can upgrade to it. remember to always use the shift+upgrade/restore trick to use your own firmware file and have to download it from itunes*

Ive done this to my phone when my phone was acting up. it takes about a hour or so.

ah... sorry but now i recovered to 1.1.2 ... n i cant do anything .. how can it change to DFU mode ?? and now i am restoring again .. i ll let u know what happens tell me how to change the mode to DFU

well to put phone in DFU mode(restore mode) having the phone off. hold sleep/power button and the home button together. the phone will turn on and once the screen goes blank let go of sleep/power button while still holding home button then just connect phone to PC/Mac and itunes will recognize phone in restore mode(DFU mode). Dont let go of home button until itunes shows it recognize it. then you can shift+restore and point to ur firmware file. if you restore again to 1.1.2 then it wont work. restoring will erase Oktoprep. thats why you need to upgrade to 1.1.2 and not restore.

I made the mistake to put DFU mode when upgrading to 1.1.2 on my guide. i fix it on my post of instructions.

what should i do now that i restore to 1.1.2 cuz it wouldnt work to restore 1.1.1

if you have the 1.1.1 firmware file on ur computer just put phone in DFU mode and Restore to 1.1.1 using the shift+restore trick and point to 1.1.1 firmware file. at the end of the restore mode you will get an error 1605(i think) its ok. run the 1.1.2 jailbreak and there is a second button says to kick phone out of restore(DFU) mode. then use the jailbreakme.com then tell me when you get there

so now you should be sitting on a jailbroken 1.1.1.
i hope you have wifi :D forgot about u needed it.
if you do then

1) put autolock to never
2) using installer, install baseband downgrader to downgrader back to 3.14.xx
baseband
3) (DFU mode) restore back to 1.1.1 to get a clean 1.1.1.
4) after that use jailbreakme.com again
5) install Oktoprep
(dont put in DFU mode just connect to itunes) UPGRADE to 1.1.2.
use 1.1.2jailbreak
6) then install anysim1.2.1u
7) put phone to aireplane mode ( dont forget or it will fail)
8) put autolock to never
9) run anysim1.2.1u

i searched baseband downlgrade but didnt find it .. so i jst went with it and now i am at 1.1.2 and i am going to use jailbreaker now and see what happens .. so this is what i did..
I downgraded to 1.1.1 and than made that call thingi and put it to never and than i went to jailbreakme.com and install that **** .. and than i pressed cntr+upgread and i put 1.1.2 and now i am going to jail break it ..

no you need to add a source to it. add i.unlock.no to ur source in installer. then you will see it.

ok see what happens. did you install OktoPrep before you Upgraded to 1.1.2? i dont think u need to check SSH

man do you know anything about 1.1.3 .. cuz now when i was doing all this it writes .. downlaod 1.1.3

NO! Do not upgrade to 1.1.3. if you then ur going to be stuck with a $400 paper weight for a while. yeah i was reading it. im waiting for a jailbreak and unlock to come out for it and you should too.

NP, so im guessing ur back to unlocked 1.1.2. the baseband stays unlock so thats why you didnt need to use anysim again. i just didnt know what problem you had so the baseband downgrader would have "clean" it so you can start fresh. just PM me here. i get notice of it. im sure when a jailbreak/unlock is out it will be all over the forum like wild fire bc every1 wants it. im sure you cant miss it :laugh2:
