Hey guys, been "unregistered" on here since I picked up the iPhone in early December. Great site/content/info.
?'n. When playing audio from the iPhone I noticed that If I hold my finger over the holes on the left (looking at the main screen) the audio is muted. I'm guessing the holes on the right are for the microphone?
Was just curious really. Every once in awhile I'll listen to the audio as background music at my desk when I can't zone out w/ the earbuds.

You are correct with that question and answer, you can claim your prize from CHRIS.:2cool:
Yeah I noticed the same thing. Very weird though.

Indeed; only one speaker.
This is the 8th time this question has been asked since the beginning of December.

If you had searched first you would have saved yourself these comments. Yes, 8 times since December about the speaker(s)......And the 80 times since iweek....
it is a common question...

i've heard this question just as many times as everyone else. i have spent many an hour on these here boards and still don't think it's necessary to act like this.
i mean if you didn't want to hear the question, you didn't have to click the thread.

And unfortunately, it will continue to be asked another 80 times by the anniversary date. It happens on every message board and telling people to search will work for the person you are telling, but it won't work for the next new person wondering about the speakers.

Without a doubt your point is valid. But I still don't see what's so abominable about pointing it out....
...I mean, you are pointing me out, right?

People, just about every question possible related to the phone has been asked and answered here at least once, if not multiple times. If it were not for new users posting old questions, there wouldn't be much for us to do here anymore, would there? :)

Very true. I noticed they sure complain about this type of thing on MacRumors and mac-forums also.
