a few weeks after i got the iphone (on iday) i dropped my phone while i was drunk. it was on a gravel driveway and i sh*t my pants just a little. the damage was minor, dent/scratch at the top of the chrome bezel and dent with discoloration at the top from the headphone jack to the sim card slot (i will post pics soon). fast forward a few moths to now.. i am traveling this february brake and plan to take my old phone with me, i tried to pop out the sim card with a paper clip but it seems that a piece of the aluminum is blocking my way of getting it out, so i pick at it, thinking that i would remove it all but it still seems that something is in the way.. any suggestions of what i could do without having to drag my a$$ to the nearest apple store
I would not forcibly try to remove it because that could void your warranty maybe. Let the Doctors at the Apple Hospital inspect the patient first, and let them advise you.

But
dont forget to restore if you've jailbroken your phone...

I concur. Restore if jailbroken, and drag your ass over to Apple.

I never thought about dropping the phone bad enough such that the SIM tray could get jammed. Definitely going to keep an eye out for that. Hopefully Apple doesn't give you a hard time what with the physical damage and all.

First, I would make sure your iPhone is docked before trying to open the SIM tray. I was told that was the only way it would pop out.

I think I damaged my sim tray for my 3G!
I keep picking it with a paper clip
but the tray wont pop out
AND TO TOP IT OFF
MY MOM'S SIM CARD IS IN IT!
I WANTED TO SEE IF THE 3G WOULD GET RECEPTION
WITH HER SIM!

You have to push HARD! The Apple people helped me do it myself. I pop out my card all the time now so I can use it on my razor phone.
good luck!
