We are going to blow your mind next week (http://fakesteve.blogspot.com/2008/01/we-are-going-to-blow-your-mind-next.html)

I can't get into details but we have something really big and really super surprising for you next week. I'm not talking about the flashbook or the new software for iPhone or the movie rentals on iTunes. I'm talking about something else. Something nobody has even speculated about. Something nobody could even imagine. We think it's a game changer. And we're all really, really excited about it.

However, our rehearsals are still not where they need to be. So I'll be going into hardcore seclusion mode for the rest of the day today. I've told the staff and crew: Nobody goes home until we get this right. And nobody goes to the bathroom unless they get permission from me. Believe me, that gets people's attention.

Um... no.

I don't care what it is anymore, he said no software update. it better be a hardware update then, free for early adopters

Better this be true and I am fed up of waiting. May be I am nuts to wait for an update or whatever from Apple every single time.

^^ You may not be too far off the mark. I never hold my breath waiting for an update so I can never be disappointed. Hopefully Steve isn't over-hyping something lame, but I doubt he is.

No, an iPhone camera Pro.
8 megapixels, a flash, a 28-to-410 mm optical zoom and HD video recording. Then, I'll really be happy.

Why get excited about the sayings of a fake Steve site? Why would they know something that MacRumors wouldn't?

Quite frankly, until I can use it, knowing about it isn't very satisfying, be it a confirmed rumor, idle speculation, or wishful thinking. Don't tell me what might/could/should/will be coming out in the next release/phone/announcement, tell me what is available.

In my thus far limited exposure to the Apple user community, I have to say that the hype/whine factor exceeds even that of the Treo - and that's a damned high bar to get over.

Well the article does talk about not being aloud to leave the room and talks a lot about bathrooms. Maybe the iphone is going to be able to have toliet paper come out of one end so we all can wipe our selves when steve introduces the top 100 things we all want to add to the iphone

Aren't 9 out of 10 iPhone users actually PC users?

Exactly what I was thinking

Really, people,

Why are you making conclusions! The site is called FAKESTEVE

Why should we have more trust in this rather than any other fanboy site?

Really, that's all that site could consist of.

Apple fanatics with an imagination.

How about a link?

I don't know if I'd buy a Mac tablet. I like the 17-inch screen on my MacBook Pro because it's BIG. I don't think I'd like scaling down. If I want small, I use the iPhone. But who knows?

Modbook. Key mod. Definition, not made by Apple.

That's a MacBook's screen with a touch screen. They started shipping about a week ago and were announced a few months back.

Naturally, the guys who make this will run out of business should Syeve show us a tablet Mac.

How did those tablets come to be? Never heard of them.

I thought one of the first things Steve did when he came back to Apple is to make sure that any hardware other than Apple (I'm not talking about emulation software on other platforms) wouldn't be able to run Mac Os in 1997. Remember the StarMax?
Even more recently: "While various industry executives have stated publicly in 2006 that they would like to sell Macintosh-compatible computers, Apple VP Phil Schiller said the company does not plan to let people run Mac OS X on other computer makers' hardware. "We will not allow running Mac OS X on anything other than an Apple Mac," he said."

Yet another thing I like about Apple's way of doing business. I don't want to be running OS X on an ugly Dell; I want a shiny iMac.

I agree, but then, what's up with the "ModBook". Is it a fake? Why would Apple allow this if they're planning to come out with their own version of a tablet?

No, it's quite real and it's out there. TUAW has had a few articles on it, but I don't really know the details about how the got OS X on it and such. I'm quite sure that Apple's legal department could shut them down.
