Help!

I am trying to unlock my iphone 1.1.2 though a software I bought from ebay. i'm stuck:angry: and i have tried everything. i'm on the part where i'm suppose to download an application called appSnapp and everytime i do this nothing happens:embarrassed:. for that matter, is it really necessary to downgrade my 1.1.2 to 1.1.1 through iTunes. it came out of the box as 1.1.2 and it hasn't been tampered before. many thanks.

well, sorry to break it to you, but you shouldn't have purchased the software. It's all free.

as for installing Appsnapp... download this (http://conceitedsoftware.com/iphone/1.1.2-jailbreak.zip) (it's ok, it's directly from the appsnapp people). It contains a Readme file that explains the whole process very well, as well as all the software needed to accomplish the task. Oh, and downgrading to 1.1.1 is a necessary part of the process.

If your phone is an out of the box 1.1.2 it can't be unlocked using software of any kind.

This site contains any updates on the progress of the hackers working on breaking 1.1.2 OTB to allow unlocking and the last update states it is still not possible to do.
