hiee all,

my yahoo mail stopped workin suddenly since today afternoon...dont know how....i dont rem changing anything...
its giving an popuo saying 'The user name or passoword for "imac.apple.mail.yahoo.com" is incorrect'
i asked my friend to try and add an account in yahoo mail...n got same error..

i tried login using safari and its working fine...
any help guys...

i just got and sent an email using yahoo and it worked fine, im in sacramento, ca i dont know if that makes a difference...

I would trying deleting your account off the phone an put it back in. Mine are all working fine.

i tried everything i can...
delete account...then add gain..created a new yahoo account...tried addin that
delete account...restart phone...addin again...
change password... everything that i can...
dont know wot to do now...
i cant survive on gmail alone...
need yahoo badly ;(((

All I can say is your problem is within this sentence:

"its giving an popuo saying 'The user name or passoword for "imac.apple.mail.yahoo.com" is incorrect'

You yourself needs to solve that. If your gmail is working then it is not hardware. Sorry.

nopes....there is something else to it..
i can login into safari on my phone and its working fine...when i do it using mail widget its not....how can i miss it so many times...
there is definitely something else to it.....

Hi, did you ever resolve your problem? I am getting the same error for my Yahoo account The user name or password for "imap.apple.mail.yahoo.com" is incorrect' but my user name and password is ok, I don't know why it keeps saying that. I have gmail also on the iphone and it works fine.Is there any other way to get yahoo mail to work on the iphone? If there is can anyone give me a step by step description? Thanks in advance for any help.

Yeh I have the same problem. I've been having the problem on and off for months on the Mail app on my iMac, but not on my iphone. I think it's a server problem with yahoo, as it happens often.
