Do the Ipod headphones work with the Iphone?

Any stereo headphones can work in the iPhone - so long as they can fit in the recessed jack. I have trimmed the rubber off a few of my headphones at home to get them to fit and they work fine.
So I as long as it can plug in fully, I believe you should be fine.

yep im using my ipod headphones because my little sister got a hold of my iphone ones and chewed em up lol... they work perfectly fine

Yes, they'll work fine....you just won't have the little magic button for changing tracks, etc.
