I realize that today is the 18th, but Christmas is absolutely my favorite time of the year, so I'm going to go ahead and put the Christmas thread.

My birthday falls on Christmas Eve, and I love giving and receiving gifts. And of course, food. I get together with all of my family, both my mother's and father's sides, in one house, making it quite crowded. However, it's always a wonderful experience that I look forward to all year long.

Merry Christmas!

I didn't realize that Apple went that far in protecting their tunes! I'll try to find another Xmas song that's not protected.

I know how that is. I have a 4 year old daughter born on Christmas Day and it's sort of become a tradition for the whole family to be at my house on that day for the gift exchange and birthday party. This year I planned to spend Christmas in Europe but gave in to those big swimming eyes...:smile:

A Merry Christmas to you and yours. A happy holiday to us all!

Merry Christmas everyone, I will be celebrating Christmas on Dec. 22. My husband is a fireman and after working so much last month and not seeing him for 7 days straight because he was fighting fires here in California and they would not let him come home, they are forcing him to work on Christmas. He will be going to work on Sunday morning and we won't see him until Wednesday the 26th. He originally had Christmas Eve and Christmas day off. He thought he was going to be off on Christmas day so he had already volunteered to work for someone who wanted to be with his family on Christmas Eve. But now he is being made to work on Christmas too. We have to call Santa and have him make a special trip on Friday night with the kids presents so Dad can watch them opening presents:frown:. But we'll get by we always do. Anyways, sorry for the long story, I'm just bummed and thought I would share my Christmas story.
Have a Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas from this iPhone lover up North. It gets pretty cold in my igloo Christmas day but we still love it. Over the next couple of days before Christmas take that extra step to let a friend or family memeber know you love them with words not gifts and do something nice for a complete stranger. And remember.......All we are saying, is give peace a chance !!!!!!!!!!!!!

'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the forum

not a creature was stirring not even a worm ( apple get it?);

The iPhones were docked by the nightstands with care,

In hopes that an update soon would be there;

The iCafer's were nestled all snug in their beds,

While visions of ear-puds danced in their heads;

And mamma in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap,

Had just settled down for a long winter's nap,

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,

I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.

Away to the window I flew like a flash,

Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow

Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below,

When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,

But a miniature cooper, and eight tiny software engineers,

With a little old driver, so geeky and suave,

I knew in a moment it must be St. Jobs.

More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,

And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;

"Now, David! now, Drew! now, Peter and Bob!

On, Carol! on Charles! on, Dana and Rob!

To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!

Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!"

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,

When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky,

So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,

With the car full of iGadgets , and St. Jobs too.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof

The tires screeching of the tiny mini coop.

As I drew in my hand, and was turning around,

Down the chimney St. Jobs came with a bound.

He was dressed in a Black turtleneck, and a pair of denim jeans,

And his clothes were all pressed with creases very clean;

A bundle of gadgets he had flung on his back,

And he looked like a peddler just opening his fanny-pack.

His eyes -- how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!

His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!

His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,

And the stubble on his chin was as white as the snow;

The stump of a iPod he held tight in his pocket,

And the earbuds nestled in his ears like a plug in a socket;

He had a broad face and a little bald head,

That gleemed, when he laughed like golden thread.

He was skinny and tall, a right jolly old Geek,

And I cheered when I saw him, i couldn't even speak ;

A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,

Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread;

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,

And filled all the stockings; then turned with a jerk,

And laying his finger aside of his nose,

And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose;

He sprang to his car, to his team gave a whistle,

And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.

But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove back to Cupertino in such haste,

"Merry Christmas to all, and sorry no update"

lol sorry was having some fun Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays my friends...hope everyone gets what they wanted!!!

Well, I did indeed get quite a few iTunes cards, but I didn't get that Mac I was going after.

There's always some rather large and expensive thing sitting under our tree, and this year I was hoping for it to be a big shiny aluminum iMac. I'm getting tired of my Mac Mini, as the display isn't very large, and it doesn't have the sexiness of Apple products.

However, in place of that Mac was a nice hiking kit. Too bad I go hiking about three times a year. Oh well. Maybe next year. I still enjoyed seeing the look on my cousin's face as she opened my old BB Pearl that I gave her.

Actually, I believe we can indulge this thread until the 12th day of Christmas. If you count December 25 as the 1st day, then January 5 (eve of the Epiphany) is the 12th day of Christmas, although some traditions count December 26 as the 1st day.
