Hey guys,
I've been searching and searching and searching on the forums on how to resize this picture but just can't do it right.
I used photoshop and all these other utilities to resize it to 320x480 but the picture just comes out squashed.
I've used all those techniques that everyone keeps asking about, "resize image" in photoshop but that doesn't work either.
Is there a way to make this photo into a wallpaper without the car looking squished and deformed? I can resize it fine but the deformity is something I can't live with.
Can someone provide a step-by-step for me and/or resize this bad-boy for me? w00t! Thanks everyone

Try this for size.
The shadow makes it a bit difficult. Other than that it's just a case of cropping and extending the background top and bottom.
If I get chance I'll re-do it a bit smaller to centre the car

Meiphones,
How the hell did you do that??????
It looks proportional and everything!!! A little off center but that's ok, I kind of get the idea. How did you do that? I just can't get the aspect ratio correct. You took such a huge picture and did it mang!
Tutorial please? lol!! :tounge:

It was a very dirty job!
Eyeballing the pic it obviously needed to be more portrait so I cropped the spare stuff off each side as a start.
Then resized the pic to the correct width - preserving aspect ratio
Adjusted the canvas size to add some spare space top and bottom but get the size right
then I filled the top and bottom spaces with a colour that was close to the background I wanted.
Then applied a blur to hide the joins.
About 40 seconds work - which is why it's a bit crap - there's still a line below the car that needs fixing, and the whole thing needs re-doing to centre it lol!
I'll finish some real work then have another look if you like.

No probs - here it is again touched up a bit. I'm not a designer so I'm used to just roughing stuff up which my guys turn into things beautiful.
