Most if not all companies have a 175 dollar et fee.

Yeah, but the iPhone is still locked, right? And the device is basically useless. Or can I use an AT&T prepaid card? And do they work in Europe?
It will be locked to AT&T.
$175 is the normal termination fee for other cell providers. However other phone are subsidized where as the iPhone is not, so this is the why people are complaining about the $175 termination fee.
Personally I don't care. $175 is just like any other place.

I choose to trust the keyboard that has real mechanical keys on it.........using a touch screen keyboard is like ramming your head into the wall. Your body takes the impact..............:2cool:

the phone WILL work in Europe. You just need to get ATT to turn of the roaming there!
