Edge not working at all

Heyguys, first off I just want to say thanks for all the input I have been getiing about my cool new toy. The Best phone I have ever owned. So here is my question. I was wondering if any of you had this problem. I just upgraded to 1.1.2 used anysim 1.2 to unlock. Everything seems to be working ok, youtube etc... The only problem I have is that edge will not work. When I go into network on the phone to set the wap.voistream.com for t-mobile. I cant back out of it. It just seems to freeze up until I press the home button. When I go back in to network it's not there. I have tried searching everywhere I can think of. Any info or sugestions would be great, thanks
