-I have a few questions. I'm going to get an iphone and need it to work with T-mobile. What firmware does the iphone have to be in order for me to unlock it for T-mobile?
-Next question is 1.1.2 unlock able yet? for the iphone? I have a touch that I've jalbraked on 1.1.2 so im not to noobish at this whole thing. I just wont to make sure i get it all right before i try to unlock.

If you want to unlock your iphone i suggest you stay on 1.1.1 and unlock it because i dont think they found a way to unlock it in v1.1.2 yet...

Alright thanks so I just need to buy an iphone thats 1.1.1 correct? Also are there any video guides out there on how to unlock iphone for T-mobile? I'm a see and do learner.

well when you buy an iphone these days, its already v1.1.1. i got a new iphone just last week because my other one had problems and it was already on v1.1.1.
theres lots of post on unlocking the iphone... i dont know about the video one...

alright..I've finally gotten my iphone and it's a week 45 set which i reckon is on ver. 1.1.2. Is there anyway to unlock it? Perhaps i've to downgrade to 1.1.1? Could someone please enlighten me?

here is how to check: On the emergency dial screen dial *3001#12345#* and tap Versions. Firware version should be 04.01.13_G. for 1.1.1 if not you have 1.1.2 hope that helps

Are you referring to my out of the box 1.1.2 iphone? I've did a search on the web and so far there are no methods to unlock the out of the box 1.1.2 iphone other than downgrading it to 1.02 and running it with turbo-sim

There is NO WAY to get any phone, either BNIB or Upgraded to v1.1.2 to SIM unlock due to the new baseband/boot loader.

Actually, Revan at MMI posted this guide to unlock 1.1.2 phones (it's for upgraded phones only though, not OTB 1.1.2 phones):

Maybe they've upgraded their forum software and didn't realise they couldn't go back to their old website without losing everything? These things happen.

I'm only here because I'm manning the support phone again this week because the regular guy has done the indecent thing and got married and is in Bermuda, Barbados or somewhere. I've had 7 calls in a week and a half of nights. It's sooo exciting
