Seems like as good a place as any to post my favorite random joke ever:

The Good Husband

Jack wakes up with a huge hangover after attending his company's Christmas Party. Jack is not normally a drinker, but the drinks didn't
taste like alcohol at all. He didn't even remember how he got home from the party.

As bad as he was feeling, he wondered if he did
something wrong. Jack had to force himself to open his eyes, and the first thing he sees is a couple of aspirins next to a glass of water on the side table. And, next to them, a single red rose! ! Jack sits up and sees his clothing in front of him, all clean and pressed.

He looks around the room and sees that it is in perfect order, spotlessly clean. So is the rest of the house.

He takes the aspirins, cringes when he sees a huge black eye staring back at him in the bathroom mirror.

Then he notices a note hanging on the corner of the mirror written in red with little hearts on it and a kiss mark from his wife in lipstick: "Honey, breakfast is on the stove, I left early to get groceries to make you your favorite dinner tonight. I love you, darling! Love, Jillian"

He stumbles to the kitchen and sure enough, here is hot breakfast, steaming hot coffee and the morning newspaper.

His teenage son is also at the table, eating. Jack asks, "Son... what happened last night?"

"Well, you came home after 3 A.M., drunk and out of your mind. You fell over the coffee table and broke it, and then you puked in the hallway, and got that black eye when you ran into the door.

Confused, he asked his son, "So, why is everything in such perfect order and so clean? I have a rose, and breakfast is on the table waiting for me??"

His son replies, "Oh THAT!... Mom dragged you to the bedroom, and when she tried to take your pants off, you screamed, "Leave me alone, I'm married!!"

Broken Coffee Table $500
Hot Breakfast $4.20
Two Aspirins $1
Saying the right thing, at the right time . . PRICELESS

J/k about the pot. I figured it was for the plant, but it took me 2 readings! It was funny.

I should have read the 36 hours a little closer. I also ate 2 dinners in 2 days! lol

I am not really a girlie-girl either. Or I do not think I am. (Or maybe I should say, not most of the time). I do not not have long nails (too hard to type and play sports), but I DO like my purses. I have a small collection of Coach, Louis and one Burberry. Most are gifts, but I do like the Coach outlet.

For money spent lately...In the last few days I bought some clothes online and a new putter locally (I play golf). I also bought gas and food, of course. My kids bought new Webkins today.

i know of coach purses though...aren't they like $400? not that i judge though, i mean hey, we all bought $400 phones, right?

Hey, if you ever need to justify your purse fetish to your hubs, just remind him that your Louis actually appreciate in value (true!), so if you guys find yourselves in a pinch, you can just auction one off. So actually, it's an investment. :tounge: He won't buy it, but it should throw him off the scent for a few minutes...

You said it was the most random thread in EIC, so I was going with it. I like how I can interject without "hijacking". LOL

To go with your response, I thought you had a stock iPhone? Did I miss you jailbreaking again?

One last word about the purses, my MIL and FIL like to get them for me for Christmas presents. Also, if you go to the Coach outlet, you get a much better price. I just got a really cute one with brown leather trim and gold & brown patchwork for about $60 at a Coach outlet right after Christmas. I am actually a frugal person who usually only shops for things on sale. :embarrassed:

I've now done it two times. The first time was not easy; I used the Dev Team's jailbreak, which involved all sorts of downgrading, using the Terminal, throwing files in the iPhone via SSH, etc. The seconds time (which I just did because I needed to fix Nikita) was extremely easy, sing ZiPhone.

Well, needless to say, it must now be our mission to keep this thread alive, and to eventually make it the largest thread on EIC. Might take some work, though, considering, for example, the size of the "show us your wallpapers" thread.

Also, the rules are quite clear about this thread: random. You MUST be not on point.

In that spirit: I had fajitas for dinner. My wife hates it when I order that, because I make a point of pronouncing it: fuh-JIE-tuh. If you say it quickly, it sounds really porno, and never fails to embarrass the waitress and infuriate my wife.

What can I say...guys are knuckleheads.

I was just about to say the same thing till i saw your reply!! LOL

in other news, looks like the trade to bring Jason Kidd back to Dallas is back on. yay!!

Hey, John, how do you do that, anyway?

First go into UserCP (under the large iCafe lettering) and click on Edit Signature. Then type the words you wish the link to appear as, which in my case would be 'Come post in the most random thread at EIC'. Then copy the link of this thread. Highlight what you just typed.

See the menu bar above the box you type in? In that, there,s a blue circle with lines in it. Click it, and paste the link you copied. Click OK. The text is now hyperlinked.

That means that my toilet flange has come loose from the floor and I am going to have to completely remove my toilet to resecure the flange. That is a "fartsticky" job, and one that I am not looking forward to. My wifes brakes on her car locked up this morning and I am going to have to fix that as well. Actually, that could work. Guys get *very* nervous when a woman adds a "knowing glance".

A few weeks ago we were out with several other couples at a fancy Italian restaurant, the kind of evening where the guys were under orders to wear jackets, so we were all behaving. But one of the women ordered a pasta dish with Italian sausage, and when it arrived, there it was: this huge appendage laying across her dish. Since it was an upscale evening, none of us knuckleheaded guys had the guts to make any obvious jokes about it. But I'm telling you: the "knowing glances" the women made, along with their barely perceptible subliminal comments (the kind that only a gender with superior intellect could conceive) had all of us guys sweating bullets of inadequacy. Man I *hate* those "knowing glances".

I'm certain I saw every one of us checking our flies at one point or another...

so I was in the mall today, and I passed an att store.

considering I had been a prepaid customer for att until about 9 months ago, (I had lost the SIM in Russia), I randomly decided "Hey, ima go in there and see whats up, if I can get a SIM for free"

I went in there with my T-Mobile unlocked iPhone, and talked to a rep and told him my story, about how I just moved to Boston (true), how I lost my SIM in Russia (also true), how I havent had the time to come get another one done (again, true) and that I've been using my uncles SIM for now (total BS).

so after a little, the rep (David or Matt I think) made me a new prepaid account, and he somehow did it with my school ID (don't have a Drivers License) and ten minutes later, without paying a SINGLE dime, I walked out with an att SIM in my hands - a new number, that I was to put money on today, to make sure I could keep it.. but now I have a secret number that only like 2 ppl will know.. and I found a use for my old Nokia 6151.

I do have one question, however. I put money on it, and my Nokia is 3G, and I bought it unlocked in Russia. why does it show AT&T as 2G? I know Boston has 3G.. or is that not available to go phone plans?

I voted for David A., David C., and Robbie.

P.S. Vodka is about the only thing my body can consume and not leave me deathly hungover the next day. Favorites: #1-Level One #2 Skyy.

Beer at all sporting events and occasionally with food.
Favorite beer: ALL Canadian beer, Foster's, Cooper's Sparkling Ale (If you haven't tried this beer-find it-it is the best beer with food I have ever had).

Junmai, Ginjyo and Dai-Ginjyo Sake with Japanese food or any Japanese meal I cook.

right now i'm at home, waiting for the furnace guy. our furnace is not blowing out warm air, but rather cold air. :frown: it went out last night. so i'm running on space heaters here. it's 24 degrees outside, which is up from about, oh, ZERO. this has been the worst winter ever.

SDK created applications will be better than the "jailbreak" apps. Large companies will start creating applications to help streamline business. SDK is going to really show how open the platform is. The only downfall is you will most likely have to pay for applications.

we got the snow too, and somehow our street - which is a pretty big street - managed to stay clean for the first 25 minutes and then BOOM! and I was extremely bored yesterday so I pulled out the PS2, found out none of the games worked except Hitman, and became Mr. Byrd for a while (I think that's what his name is.) the snow sucks. I love when it snows, but I hate cleaning the snow off the driveway, because we have a SHARED driveway between two other families... and guess who has to clean it all??? >_<

anybody watch "The Big Bang Theory"?

It's my new guilty pleasure. But even better is this: the theme song in performed by Barenaked Ladies, and it's not just a snippet, but an entire song! And very catchy, too. Well, this thread is random, right?

Here ya go:

Our whole universe was in a hot dense state,
Then nearly fourteen billion years ago expansion started. Wait...
The Earth began to cool,
The autotrophs began to drool,
Neanderthals developed tools,
We built a wall (we built the pyramids),
Math, science, history, unravelling the mysteries,
That all started with the big bang!

"Since the dawn of man" is really not that long,
As every galaxy was formed in less time than it takes to sing this song.
A fraction of a second and the elements were made.
The bipeds stood up straight,
The dinosaurs all met their fate,
They tried to leap but they were late
And they all died (they froze their asses off)
The oceans and pangea
See ya, wouldn't wanna be ya
Set in motion by the same big bang!
It all started with the big BANG!

It's expanding ever outward but one day
It will cause the stars to go the other way,
Collapsing ever inward, we won't be here, it wont be hurt
Our best and brightest figure that it'll make an even bigger bang!

Australopithecus would really have been sick of us
Debating out while here they're catching deer (we're catching viruses)
Religion or astronomy, Encarta, Deuteronomy
It all started with the big bang!
