Sending message from aim to iphone

uhhh well im trying to send myself some links via aim but its just not working it keeps telling me this phone cannot be reached anyone else?

i just sent my self a link from photobucket using AIM and it worked perfect.. this is what i did:

i sent it to myself doing this +1[area code and number]

i dont know if you have google toolbar, but it has a Send feature and you can send to a cell phone. it will just show up as a text message...pretty nifty.
