I would say update to the latest version......but we don't know what version he has or what firmware he is running :angry:

well i updated to firmware 1.1.2.today and i dont have the apps anymore . can i downgrade to 1.0.2 then install the kto or something like thats then upgrade back to 1.1.2

Did you run Oktoprep and follow the upgrade instructions to jailbreak the phone? If not, you need to downgrade and follow the instructions. If you did follow them and have installer, install Customize again as you have to install all the apps again.
