Clear Agent18 iPhone Case

Has anyone seen the new clear version of this case? I own the black one myself, and took my sister to an apple store because she wanted a case like mine. We came across the clear one and my sister bought it. It's pretty much the same, but the spot on the back where the tree logo is no longer has a tree. It's smooth plastic that lets you see the apple logo, almost like a window.

Very cool, although I really like the looks of my black one (better even than the stock phone, IMO). Can you take a picture of the case chzx????

i haven't seen it personally but i am pretty sure that it is exactly the same material as the other two cases, minus the tree.

well, upon closer inspection, this doesn't appear to be an "Eco" case... hence, the lack of the tree. Which also means it isn't the EXACT same material.

I wonder if you could make a hybrid case. Put the clear top on the black bottom so that you can see the Apple Logo.

Also, has agent18 announced anything about producing a clip for the iphone? Both the black and clear cases have slots on the side and top of the case. To me this looks like a place for a clip to be hooked. Anyone else have ideas?

I'm sure you can combine the two colors.

The slots on the case are definitely for clip... who knows when that will come out. I just keep my phone in my pocket, but i would get a clip to stick on the visor in my car.

The pics of the clear case look drab and lifeless. As as matter of fact, the case makes the iPhone look gray instead of silver.

Either that or its just my eyes. :gasp:

i think the pics make the clear one look much nicer than the black. I think my logic is that i want to see the metal casing. So many phones are drab black plastic... gimme clear/aluminum any day.

my wife has the clear one and I have the black one... i was doing some comparison and I "BELIEVE" the black one is a little thinner than the clear one... maybe its just me or maybe its the clear one is just playing with my eyes... lol... i will make another comparison and take pics tonight! I originally had the clear one, but for some reason did not like it, felt "girly"? lol, so i went to apple and exchanged it for a black one... Do not regret it at all! I will take some comparison pics if they are a little different in size...

i think that i will be returning it on Monday when I get back home... i like it , i think that it is cool, but the only thing that I don't like is that i have had trouble keepin' it on.. it seems to be falling off... the clips that hold it together are not working properly... im not sure on what is going on , not sure if it is THIS case or if this is something that is with all the Agent 18 cases...

I would take it back and get another one. one thing i noticed (that i like) is that this clear case goes on much easier than the black case, so there is no feeling like it is scratching the phone and much easier to remove. my case clips are great and using it for the limited time i have so far has been great. the case does not come off unless i actually pull it apart.

Give the Showcase a try. It is one nice case IMO.

Just bought the clear Agent18 case from the Apple Store and I am loving every bit of it. I previously had the black Agent18 case, and the only thing about that case that displeased me, along with every opaque case, was that it covered up the beautiful aluminum sides and rear of the iphone. Now I have the best of both worlds: solid, form fitting hard case that reveals the exterior beauty of the phone.

P.S. I have a used black Agent18 case for sale, if anyone wants it.

Yep, picked this up yesterday from the Apple store here. Very slim and doesn't add the bulk that the iSee Contour added (ugh) and much more protection then the Laserline. With a Crystal film on the front you are set. It no longer feels as though I am carrying a brick and it is frosted which is okay to me. I believe this is why the iSee seemed so bulky. With it being clear it pulled the chrome coloring through and made the iPhone seem bigger. Now it looks like it's original size. Too bad I am stuck with four cases and only use one. My wife is none to happy either....

I like the idea of protecting the sides etc, but I sure don't have room in my pockets.....

Wow. I was really thinking about giving the clear Agent8 a try, but if it fits looser than the black Agent 18, I may have to stay away from it.

I doubt they intentionally made it defective. C'mon guys. Just open it up at the store if you buy it at an apple store, put it on, and replace it if its loose.

I don't think it is a case of being defective. However, I have seen some people state that the black actually fits too snug, thus causing damage to the phone. The manufacturer may have taken this into consideration, and made it looser...the world may never know. The difference in fit (if there actually is a difference in fit) maybe due to the difference in materials (if there is a difference in materials).

By the way, the clear cases aren't at my local Apple store. I did try the black one on, and it has a good fit...anything looser would likely damage the phone.

I just bought an iphone and the clear agent 18 case, just have a question, everytime i want to put the iphone into the dock i have to remove the bottom part of the case? Because it doesn't fit into the dock the phone came with. Or am i doing something wrong?

The dock adapter that comes w/ Agent18 iphone cases is for the Universal Dock.

The dock that comes with the iphone fits it so snugly, that I doubt there is any hard case on the market that will fit.

yeah its at the bottom of the agent 18 case but no it won't work with the regular dock.

You can only dock the iPhone + Agent18 case with a UNIVERSAL dock. Check out apple.com for it.

Also, regarding the looseness, my agent18 clear is SO loose...I can pull it off way too easily -- I'll probably swap it out on Friday. However, I was taking it off yesterday in order to dock it, and I guess there was a piece of sand or some type of hard dust particle -- When I took the case off, it scratched the matte backing. Even though it was a VERY small scratch, it was still very annoying nonetheless. :angry:

Also, I've been realizing the case is a bit too slippery for me. I can't wait for my seidio case...

I have both the black agent 18 case and the clear agent 18 case. The clear case is very slippery compared to the black case. The clear case fit very well on my phone and it wasn't loose. I like the way that the clear case looks compared to the black case.

probably...the clear case can easily slip out of your hands if you don't have a firm grip on your phone.

I found that on my black Agent18, I had to place a piece of black electrical tape on the inside of both halves to get a tight, secure fit. Worked like a charm!

well, mine is loose in more than one dimension. the advantage with this case is its solid, integrated feel... like it's part of the iphone. if it jiggles around it loses its charm.

I had a problem with a black Agent 18 case and their customer service was more than helpful and worked with me to get me a replacement. I would suggest calling them or writing them an email - I'm sure they'll help you out.

My clear case is due to arrive today - I will report back if there's a problem.

Mine is nice and snug. Yeah it still gathers stuff from my pockets but is better than the other cases I have had. The texture on mine isn't very slippery either. Compared to the other case (iSee or iContour) it's almost like sandpaper. I wonder why the differences?

I got my clear Agent 18 case tonight.

As expected - it fits great. The side clasps seemed to have improved, they really click into place and the case is tough to seperate. The fitment might be a little less snug than my black Agent 18, but it's not loose by any means. It does feel a bit less grippy as compared to the black case.

Not sure which I like the looks of better, time will tell I guess. Awesome case though - I would recommend it.

So Agent18 is going to send me a replacement. In the meantime i have discovered that the top of the clear case fits very well with the bottom of the black case... looks pretty cool, too.

interesting update... i have found in the last few days that many more people have been making comments to me about my iphone... presumably because they can SEE it now.

This is actually one reason why i prefer the black Agent18... i'd rather not have people drooling all over me. oh well, i still like the clear/black hybrid.

well, i got the replacement today, and it's a little better... still nothing like my black one though. I'll live with it. Like i said, using the black bottom with the clear top works really well. Somehow the black bottom really locks-down any looseness inherent in the clear top.

So props to the customer service, i guess.

The Agent18 clear case is the best hard case for the iphone imo
visually it looks great!
and it fits snug and it has protected my iphone several times

I have the agent 18 clear case and it fits like a charm. My only gripe about it is that it kinda scratches the back of the iPhone. At first it looks like 2 big gashes along where the groves are but turns out to be case-poop. Wiped it off, but i can still vaguely see two faint lines in it. Bought a cheap screen protector and slapped it on the back and put the case back on. Too bad they don't come with a holster though. But I bought a nice pouch thingy from Japan. fits the phone perfectly. I got pictures right here.
