O2 chip in ATT iPhone?

Anyone know the answer to this question. If I go to Europe with my iPhone can I just buy an O2 chip and pop it into my US purchased/ATT iPhone?

Similar question, will I be able to pop a China Mobile chip into my phone when I go to China, when the iPhone launches there next year?

Most Likely you wouldn't be able too...Im pretty sure when iPhones are released for those countries theyre only made for whichever carrier they are released under, just like the US being only under AT&T. Unless a further update that comes along allowing iPhones to be unlocked, it probably wouldn't be likely for it to work. Unless your iPhone is already unlocked that is.
