...just wanted to know everyone's first wow! moment with your iPhone...

i must say mine was being able to hear the other party on a phone conversation in both ears while my headphones in my ears...dugh, but WOW!

My first WOW moment was out of the box. I got home and within 10 minutes had it activated. I really needed a device that did phone, ipod, e-mail / internet in one with the ease of use of apple products.

I don't use headphones much (excluding on my nano at the gym or when I am on an airplane with the iphone). So when I was playing around with the headphones and realized they had a clicky thing and I could freakin' answer the phone when I was listening to music! I still don't use the headphones much for daily use.

I also got pretty excited about how you flip through the pictures.

My first WOW was bringing up a website on the iPhone and seeing the whole page, without needing to scroll the screen. Zooming in on the page was the 2nd wow.

I was listening to music through the headphones and realized you could answer the phone by clicking the mic. I then wanted to switch to my bluetooth headset and realized how easy it was and how nice the UI made it.
After I ended my call my music resumed where it left off :2cool:

When I got my Visa statement and seen how much I paid for this thing, then thinking "it was totally worth it"! Whoa then wow!

my first WOW happened last week when cingular cut my service OFF. they said i owe $500 and will not turn it back in until i pay it :(

When I unplugged the iPhone from my car's aux jack and it paused. Killer!

Then when I noticed what happened when the ipod was playing, the phone is locked, and you double tap the home button. Wow!

For me it was iday when I finally had it in my hand after all of the hype and those long months of waiting for it to hit the Stores.

My second wow was a few hours later when I realized it didn't do everything that "I expected it to be able to do". But in all honesty I still hold it and think "Wow Apple did create a really cool phone." :smile:

i like the iphone i really do AFTER hacking it...but it does not do alot i need it to directly out of the box and that is a bit of an understatement...the reason im still hanging around with you fools is because i expect it to be better with the release of the sdk and hope it will be plus im locked into a 2 year contract and canceled my nextel so yeah...im stuck really but i would stay anyone i like you fools lol

I use a mac with iTunes 7.5 - and my own custom ringtones are adding no problem at all...

Just convert the mp3 to aac.

Then rename to .m4r - add to iTunes, et voila!

whaaaat?!...hold on now...when i go to music and choose a mp3 and select conver to ringtone i get this msg sayin' that i have to choose a mp3 from the store...even when i choose a mp3 that i purchased from the store i still have pay .99 just to edit it?...uh is there somethn i'm missn here

Mine came about a month after I bought the phone and I went on a weekend vacation and used just about every function on the phone. All the way from Google maps to internet to calls. It was incredible. Second to that was when I was on a plane and was watching movies in like perfect clarity.

Alright, I just got another one for the first time... with visual voicemail.

I just placed a couple service requests out on servicemagic.com, and I'm having all these contractors calling me back at the same time. The visual voicemail allows me to keep their messages associated with their numbers in order to help keep it all straight. It really makes a difference!

The first few hours after activatation was one big WOW moment. But after that I would have to say when I was entering in my friends' contact info, I accidently hit the filled in address field and it took me straight to Google Maps, zoomed in, and pinned my friend's place on the map. Damn impressive feature that wasn't advertised.

yeah i must say the visual voicemail gets the big WOW! ...it doesn't take away from your minutes...WOW!

Whenever I take it out of the case to clean it. I think "WOW" then I have to but it back into that ugly case...

Mine was when i tried to send one sms message to all my friends at the same time (thing I regularly did with my older p800, p900, p910 and p990) and I expected this to be a standard feature on a phone that costs 400 dollars... when I realized no batch sms send was avialable I literaly said "WOW" out loud

My first WOW with the iPhone was when I watched to Key Note in January of 07. I just barely got the iPhone about 3 days ago and since I've had it my first WOW was holding it in my hands and finally thinking to myself, "i have finally have this thing."

I had to wait until my contract what up with VZW.

Everyday I find something new that the phone can do and I'm blown away!!!

Was well worth the wait.

you download it on your computer then it tells you an address to type in on your phone. its called signal.
