Ok, the magic questions...
Do you have a voice memo function?
Do you have file management?
Does it drop magic nuggets when you stroke the volume rocker?
Ok, that last one was just wishful thinking.
:laugh2:

So far, there is no evidence of a disk management feature or a voice memo feature. I have been through all the settings.

No sign of update on MST. Maybe I have to wait 20 more minutes.

Too many threads on this...
iTunes has the update, but I have no dock, so I can't update.

I dl'd the update from engadget, installed, and I have to say. The phone does seem a little snappier when I go from program to home, and back to another program on the phone.
The last few weeks the phone seemed to hang with a blank screen before I could access things such as iPod, contacts, and when I woke from sleep.
Now the menus seem to respond instantly.
Whether or not this has anything to do with the update itself, I don't know. Maybe it is a result of a restore itself.

Seems to me I have almost 40 more MB free since my last 1.1.1 sync. Seems odd with such a large download.

I was able to install 1.1.2 yesterday morning (11/9) around 11:00am simply by restoring my iPhone. I clicked "Restore" and got a notice that there was a new version of the iPhone software, which iTunes then downloaded and installed. I haven't experienced any problems (why would I?), and there is international language/keyboard support. It would be odd if iTunes were to require me to update to 1.1.2 when restoring if it weren't an update meant for the US market.

I upped manually and have experienced no problems with my non-jailbroken phone. No crashes, it syncs faster, speakerphone is useably loud now, and I can do custom ringtones finally. If this wasn't meant for the US market, it should be!

I upgraded to 1.1.2 using the "Restore iPhone" command and it installed without issue, but now every time I sync (iTunes 7.5 on Leopard), it fails during the contacts sync claiming that the iPhone disconnected. All my contacts are in the phone, though. Odd, huh?

I have leopard also and manually updated but I have no problems at all. Maybe you should try restoring to see if it gets fixed.

Nevermind I just put my iPhone into recovery mode and updated my itunes to 7.5 and when i synced the Recovery Mode iPhone it prompted me to restore and gave me the latest version of firmware (1.1.2.) so everything is set for me. Took about 15 minutes now i'm just syncing all my info back into it and it should run smooth. Did the firmware get any forn of jailbreak yet?
