Jailbreak without wifi

Say an iphone in a region without wifi....Is it possible to jailbreak using software. Instead of the jailbreak site...URGENT
NB....the iphone has been activated,,,i.e is working on another network

Hey guys, has anybody tried this procedure from OTB 1.1.1 phone without Wifi:

- Downgrade to 1.0.2 and Activate with Independence
- Upgrade / jaibreak / installer with iFuntastic
- Finally unlock with AnySim

Yes, thats the procedure i've always used. The jailbreakme.com thing is iffy.
