We finally have an official clear shot of the top of the iPhone. From top to bottom... sleep/wake button, SIM tray, pin hole to eject SIM, earphone hole.
Thanks! Nice shot indeed!

Yep. Just make sure to keep a paper clip around when you want to remove your sim card. But really, how many times do you really swap sim cards? The only time I've done it in the past was when I knew I would be waiting somewhere like the dentist office and I wanted to take my ROKR instead of my RAZR so I could listen to iTunes in the waiting room.

It was posted before kolizion ever joined EI that there would be a sim tray that you would eject with a pin or paper clip. Actually, there have been pics posted that showed the sim tray already; they just weren't as clear as this one.
Kolizion may turn out to be the real deal, but there was nothing that he posted that hadn't already been discussed here several times.

That design looks so sweeettttt

any particular reason?

i dunno guys.. that seems like pure speculation to me. I dont think it's a SIM tray at all... I think that looks like the power button with a small white LED (much like their notebook computer's release button)

^^^^^^^^^In fact, I believe in the original iPhone keynote, he demonstrated that button as the power button.

Besides the fact that Cingular is now ATT?

You're kidding right? How could you not know that Cingular has been changing to At&t for the last two months? Don't you see the advertisements that say, "Cingular is now At&t"?
You were probably joking anyway.

Speculation? It's on the Apple website. It can't be more official than that.
If you don't see it, do this...
- Click on this http://images.apple.com/iphone/gallery/images/gallery1_hires20070621.jpg
- Stare at the left side of the image. That is the top of the iPhone.
- Look between the earphone jack and the sleep/wake button.
- What do you see? See the tiny hole? That's where your paperclip will be inserted.
If you still don't see, then I advise to have your eyes checked.
And the button that you're referring to is the sleep/wake button not the power button.

Besides, that's not a power button on the Macs either. It's the latch to open the lid. Your power button is on the right next to your delete key.

Sorry, but we've been hearing about a possible youtube widget ever since the D5 conference when steve talked about youtube converting their format for apple tv.

I may be crazy but this thing looks more like a very detailed illustration rather than an actual photograph.
What makes me think this are the reflections on the near side corners. They are identical on the top and bottom. In an actual photo shoot you'd never get that effect. They would definitely be different.

Kolizon STILL has not answered my question regarding the SETTINGS MENU, strange. It was skipped multiple times.
he/she may have been told not to disclose any in depth information about the software on the device.
anyway, with regards to the supposed sim tray here - i think if it were a power button it would be a lot more pronounced as a button. the picture does paint a very close picture to what kolizion said about using a $.01 paperclip size pointer to release the tray. but that is just my thoughts...

dude ^ you need to sign a NDA which means you can't say ANYTHING about the phone big or small facts. I believe he/she Skipped me MULTIPLE times because they don't have the answer and realize that come the 29th everyone will see they lied. Every answer s/he has given was information that was already going around.

maybe you should read my post again dick.
i said it looked like the screen release button not a sleep/wake button or a power button.
i said it MAY be a power button (for the phone)
and the "pinhole" may be a status LED (white)
again, i make no assumtions, just guesses;
no where on the apple site does it say that that specifically is the SIM tray. you dont know that is the SIM tray therefore i state that is SPECULATION
boy i swear some of you children have a bug up your a$$e$. I'm sorry I said anything at all.. wtf does it matter anyways - it's just a button.
Sorry, but it IS the SIM tray. During the keynote (btw, did anybody watch that? lol, a lot of answers to questions on this forum are in the keynote) Jobs said (at 12:49 if you want to see that part yourself) it's the SIM tray.
