Will my local cingular/at&t store carry the iphone at launch? Or is it just specific larger stores throughout the country.

On the cingular site, it is termed "Cingular authorized retailer."

i think it has to be a cing/at&t store, not a retailer.

and there is another store near me that is just termed "cingular wireless"
and does the following-
Equipment Upgrade
Phone Book Transfer
Equipment Recycling Program
GoPhone Refills
Bill Payments - All
Prepaid - TDMA to GSM Migration
Prepaid - Equipment

search on AT&Ts google thing, those stores have the iPhone.

I put my zip in on the Cingular site and called my local store..they are getting them on the 29th at 6 also....she said people are calling and asking if they can setup tents! She told me goodluck before we hung up....

There are about 170 Apple stores. - All of these will have the iPhone

There are over 1,500 AT&T corporate owned stores. - All of these should have the iPhone.

There are over 8,000 AT&T franchise stores. - These may or may not have the iPhone. Probably not.

So how do you know if your local store will have the iPhone or not. Hmmm, maybe pickup the phone and call them!
