To all those regular joes claiming to be getting an iPhone early... Make sure you arent buying this accidentally.

Well, if you watch the whole video you will see that there is an apple on the back of the phone... So what does that tell you? Its the prerelease model of the iPhone for people that want it early. ;)

this is becoming common. people are installing iphone software that makes it seem closer to an iphone. check ebay, i saw a couple auctions today for these type phones.

I'm gonna go ahead and agree with the goggle-faced cat on this one.
There are some seriously CHALLENGED ppl out there. Sad thing is, they look just like the rest of us! haha
Ever watched Dateline NBC? Not the kiddy-porn guys, but they did a special on ppl shipping stuff to Africa for these ppl. Stuff that was bought with stolen credit cards, and shipped stateside, so this random person could re-ship it to Africa. The person was willing to do this, because the crook was sending pictures of hot chicks and saying he was a model, and loved him. This guy is like mid-50's, overweight, gray hair, etc.
Dude, come on....let's get real here. haha

You can tell that the Apple logo could have been glued on the back, it's not a part of the back piece, it looks attached. Anyone could do that. What a cheesy dupe.

In case you guys didn't know there are fakes of EVERYTHING now a days. I wasn't surprised or shocked by this.(except that it actually was touch screen and can play video ;p)

I think you guys are missing the point.

The iPhone will only be available in the US at first. The rest of the world will still want one. Even if it is not the real thing. The iPhone will quickly become a major fashoin accessory, a status symbol, a must have item. Even for people outside the US.

While this product is obviously a counterfit there are people who will buy it even if they know it is fake. The vacum of iPhones in the rest of the world will create a a demand for anythig that looks like an iPhone.

The same thing happened a few years ago with the iPod shuffle.

If I was in Hong Kong and saw one of these 'fakes' on the street I would buy it, just for the shear novelty of haveing a counterfeit iPhone. I think the counterfiet phone in the US would have almost as much street cred as the real one. Imagine pulling it out at parties, "Yeah, just got back from Hong Kong and I got this fake iPhone. Can you believe people actually buy this?." The girliez would be all over you!
