Unlocking 1.0.2 Firmware

I am planning to downgrade from a virgin 1.1.1 iPhone to the 1.0.2 firmware and then unlock that. I know how to downgrade it but I was windering what is the best way to then unlock it.

Are there any free ways of doing it or will I have to pay for it using sites such as iphonesimfree?

You should try AnySim. It's free and they have unlock tools for 1.0.2 and 1.1.1. Check it out here:
