So here's what happened....I had 1.0.2 with AppTapp installed. I wanted to upgrade to 1.1.1, so I cleared out all my third party applications, and did a restore/update. But then iTunes wasn't letting me sync all my songs, so I restored three times. And now I was trying to restore again so that I could try putting AppTapp again, but it hung up during the restore. I disconnected my phone, and now it's stuck in recovery mode.
Here's what I've tried, after searching the forums for solutions:
- Reinstalling iTunes
- Taking out sim card, using hard restart method
- Using hard restart method by taking finger off of power button after the phone restarts
- Restoring to 1.0.2 instead, using the shift+restore method
- Restoring to 1.1.1 by manually navigating to the update file
- Restarting computer
- Using three different USB ports
- Probably other things I've forgotten
Each time I got different errors, and have still been unable to restore. And now, iTunes won't even recognize my phone and bring up the restore screen.
Ok, well I have it restored now...I just had to do it literally 20 times. The only problem now is that my music won't completely sync. It says the disc cannot be read/written to. ugh.
