"Revirginizer" released!

The Elite Team released a "revirginizer" tool. According to them, your 1.0.2 unlocked iPhone will return to its pre-unlocked state and be safe to upgrade to 1.1.1. Some users have already reported success.....

The process is still extremely raw and unrefined, requiring some skill and patience, but has already been successful for a number of users who've followed it in meticulously. MMI is currently working on a guide.

Basically, what the "reverginizer" does is the answer to those whose phones were rendered useless after upgrading to 1.1.1..... iPhones unlocked with 1.0.2, then bricked, can now be upgraded to 1.1.1 and unlocked.

i tried it and sucessfully upgraded and unlocked mine after being stuck with a bricked iphone

used there guide to fix flashband problem then used mmi tutiorial to jailbreak/activate/unlock with 1.1.1

and I'm up and running.

It virginized my iphone that was previously a brick with the anysim unlock. I have upgraded to 1.1.1 with no problems.

This happened to me the first time i attempted, you baseband could be lost as you have 2 exit. (Meaning no calls, wifi etc)

DO NOT PANIC

Simply do an iTunes restore and start again! :laugh2:

Don't install SSH via iNdependence (as it f**ks the process up).....use Open SSH through installer.

Are u Windows or Mac?

That's what I did - I used the open ssh through the installer...I did it via mac but have a windows laptop too and and use that to fix if anyone can help

I'd advise against using the guide on the Google code page and use THIS METHOD instead (http://modmyiphone.com/wiki/index.php/Downgrade_1.0.2_baseband_OS_X_iPhone)

as it worked for the 2 phones i done only a few hours ago on my Mac Mini.

After restoring my iPhone to a "Virgin" state i then used iFuntastic and used it for the "one click upgrade/jailbreak/springboard patch". It's excellent, i used iNdependence to activate :D

don't think so mate. are u sure you are copying everything directly and that u have set all the file permissions to 755 (otherwise it won't work and could freeze)

The only reason i had to virginize my v1.02 phones is because i had used anySIM V1.02

The upgrade to v1.1.1 i used the 1 click upgrade through iFuntastic

Unlock i used anySIM V1.1

Activation i used iNdependence

Get installer.app on, then install BSD Subsystem & Open SSH

Then i follow the guide on modmyiphone

hey guys, just wanted to pop in and say i used the Elite team's virginator script and it worked great. I only had one issue and that was it hung on "waiting for data..." for about 5 attempts. The real issue was that in the script the code to stop the CommCenter was missing "-w" and should have been like this "launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist" so restored then I manually backed up my seczones using putty with the instructions on the Elite team forum (http://rdgaccess.com/iphone-elite/viewtopic.php?t=98). Then used the automated virginator.sh script to virginize (skipped the backup seczone parts). Wish you all luck. If u have any questions ask.

EDIT: I used this guide for the revirginizer process ITS AMAZING for WINDOWS: http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=13170. HOWEVER, to avoid waiting for data hangup manually backup seczone using putty before u use that guide, as the script kinda eff's it up. msg me if needed.

for once in my life I am glad I keep a windows computer around in a addition to my mac- 7 hours of hell back and forth on my mac - one shot on the windows method and it worked - thanks for posting this!

Garbage, if i was using Windows it would take me 100 years.

Ona a mac, if you know what your doing it takes 10 - 15mins to fully do it all

Anysim 1.1 was not out then. I downgraded to v1.0.2 and tried anysim 1.02 but it did NOT work as no other sim apart from AT&T works. Do i still need to virginize since the anysim1.02 didnt work or do I have to virginize regardless?

under "Scripts To Make Life Easier" there is a link to an automated virginizer by daurnimator which is also supposed to give you the option to backup the seczones. Does this program work better or do I still have to backup manually before starting with this version?

You need Winscp and on that page there should be "related Links" for putty

Once you flash the baseband, do the 1.1.1 upgrade - then do a restore

do a search for "Carnival" it is almost completely automated and works great to unlock and activate using any sim - it unbricked my phone with it today - its awesome

The carnival program needs Wifi too - i would hold off until your wifi is back up
