My Carrier Tag on my RAZR changed today

Today was the first day my RAZR showed At&t instead of Cingular. Strange really. My son's SLVR changed a couple of weeks ago. It might have been because I changed the battery and it went through a complete reboot.

So far I have not seen the carrier tag change on m RAZR. But know it is going to happen soon. Not too happy about the take over!:frown:

Mine just changed today as well. Where it used to say "Cingular" on the display,

Now it says "AT&T by Apple"........:tounge:

Mine changed today too, AT&T on the screen and Cingular on the bottom of the phone.

Turn your phone off and back on see if it changes.

Already done. I think they haven't updated all their towers yet. My phone is set to display the actual tower operator, not just 'Cingular'

My friend has the razr just like me and he lives about 5 miles from me and his changed. He might have gone somewhere where the towers have changed.

Mine still says cingular.

My Blackjack still says Cingular, and when I search for a new network it still comes up as Cingular.

I though the tag was created by reading the sim card, so how can it just change? You'd have to change out your sim. Maybe I'm wrong.
