ok guys, i have iphoneringtone maker and it says trial version bla bla for 3 uses then it goes into u have to buy mode. well i used it once and its already in taht mode. issue is, everytime i sync off itunes ugotta go back to Ringtonemaker and synce the songs back to ur phone...now i can't do that since it wont let me access this....neone have diff programs they use for ringtones? ********************** thanks guys!

well this thread is regarding gettin ringtones onto my iphone 1.0.2 or w/e it is not 1.1.1. how the hell can i get ringtones on the iphone that are custom cuz the ringtones going straight are wack, by the time the song starts the phone goes to VM.

I also just purchased this and it does sync it to my Itunes page but in songs not ringtones. I have 1.1.1 with windows XP and the site said it was updated to work with 1.1.1.
Dos anyone know how to get in touch with these people as I cannot find any email address in all the emails and the site. UGH !!!! I am very angry :frown:at them:embarrassed:

I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to say? iPhoneRingToneMaker sends your ringtones directly into your ringtones. (in settings) You do not sync them through iTunes.

It works fine with 1.1.1

Thank you for the response but that is the problem, they are not syncing into my ringtones and I do not know what I may be doing wrong. I have 1.1.1. and it looks like it is working etc, then I go to ringtones and the area is empty. No ringtones. I also check the iphone in sounds and the ringtones that are there are just the ones originally in the phone. Please help. Thanks:frown:

They don't sync through iTunes, that may be where you're getting confused.

iTunes needs to be open and your phone needs to be plugged into the USB port. After you create your ringtone you click "send to phone". It will appear in the list of ringtones on your phone.

That is what I did. I took the song from my Itunes and did the explorer thing and did exactly as you said. I have the phone in the cradle and I see it syncing and then I press send to phone and I make sure to press restore at the bottom afterit has synced. The songs are nowhere in the phone. Have you by chance updated to 1.1.2? If so, custom ringtones are listed seperately on the top, above the standard ringtones. Perhaps you're not scrolling up hign enough? I'm not trying to be sarcastic, only helpful :)

it appears that iToner and Apple are more clever that these guys at ringtonemaker. If you purchased ringtones from iTunes and now sync with ringtonemaker you will loose all you itune ringtons. Brilliant! And this took ringtonemaker much longer than iToner to make right, not to mention that iToner just works.

Itunes needs to be close, open IPRTM go to Manage my ringtones tab select one or all of the tones listed there. then hit the send to iphone button, you have to hit that button twice, you should be able to see your tones after that, under the iphone settings / sounds.

I have got same fault now this did work, but for some reason i cant see anymore ringtones in sound and i have done all the steps mentioned in this post, the only thing i have done since this fault was to buy a single of itunes lastnight since then i have this fault?

I figure I'll give my little update on this issue for everyone.
I contacted the support guys and they did email me back, asking to confirm some version numbers, etc.
While waiting for their next reply, I did a little fooling around with my phone. First, I downgraded to 1.1.1 and then again to 1.0.2. and then back up to 1.1.1 to try and get it to "activate". Didn't work. went back to 1.1.2 that I had downloaded on the 9th.
Tried again the next night, same thing- except I let iTunes download and install 1.1.2
I also went into the iphoneringtonemaker folder and ran the uninstall and then reinstalled the 1.4.4 beta again.
I tested with making a new ring tone and it Worked! But for some reason, if I tried to add one of my old ringtones I made under 1.0.2, all they did was replace the new one. So I kept making new ringtones and they all stayed.
The Main Problem? Even though I could see the old ringtones and preview and edit them, they had been moved from the original folder in which they were stored. ( I had to go look for them)
Now everything works perfectly.

It sounds stupid, but on your PC, locate the ringtones that are not working, and then in IPRTM (IPhoneRingToneMaker) browse to where they reside on the PC, and "make a new ringtone" with them...again.
If that fails, then uninstall and reinstall.

PS- Make sure that you are using the 1.4.4 version.
