New to iphone! Help me!

Hey guys and girls,

My name is John and Im new to the iphone. Im searching to see if there are any stickys that could help me out with some cool stuff. I want to know about how to get ringtones, movies on the iphone, change the themes, and other stuff. Is there a good place to find all this stuff?

Any tips would be awesome. FEED ME YOUR KNOWLEDGE!!!

I've been hacked since the 2nd day I owned mine, it's not bricked yet! If you have to take it in for service, just restore to stock form. (what firmware version do you have, 1.0.2 or 1.1.1, can't really mod easily withe 1.1.1, yet).

Absolutely. Do a lot of reading before you decide to move forward with unlocking or third party apps. You're the only one who can decide if the risk is worth the reward.

If you have some experience in programming knowledge then I'd say you can go forward as long as you know what you're doing.

Eitherwise... read, read, and read some more until you are comfortable performing the mods. There are several apps out there that is user-friendly, but not sure how well they work with current version 1.1.1

I was skeptical at first myself, but with some programming experiences, the thought of voiding the warranty faded away.

If u are comfortable with a computer and have some decent knowledge then I would hack away. If the sight of a computer scares u then I would hold off the mods until u read enough info to do it yourself or ask someone to help u.
