Do I need to sign a "short-term purchase agreement" ?

Has anyone hear about siging the "short-term purchase agreement" when you buy the iphone in apple store.
I was buying five units today and the apple store ask me to sign this agreement.
Is it necessary to sign?

well, if they won't give you an iphone without signing, i'd say it's necessary.
