Hi guys,

I am with ATT, with version 1.0.2 installed.
The iPhone is jailbroken with custom apps, and also I've unlocked the sim,
and successfully tested it with T-Mobile and Cingular (even though I'm with ATT).

My question is about upgrading to 1.1.1. I understand that 3rd party apps will not work (i think today (I've read a post that it was jailbroken though).

Is it true that I will not be able to place calls if I update the firmware?

Cheers,

Just do a full restore before upgrading and you will be fine.

since you have done the SIM UNLOCK, if you upgrade to 1.1.1 you will have a brick

I believe that is actually wrong, i read somewhere that even if you do a full restore on a previously unlocked iphone your iphone will brick when upgraded. I could be wrong though.
