When I dial *3001#12345# my "firware" verson is blank....

When I plug my phone in and boot itunes its version 1.0.2

I think this might be the root of my problems. How do I restore the baseband firmware?

when i dial *3001#12345# as an emergnecy call it says "error upon request" (my iphone is new and is still not unlocked)

The main reason you both are having problems is because there is a * at the end of that string.

The whole thing should look like this:

*3001#12345#*
