I never dealt with iTunes until I got my phone. I tested the wi-fi iTunes to download an album. I'm pretty sure it didn't sync to my computer when I plugged in my phone. How can I be certain?
Assuming it didn't, what might I be doing wrong?

Figured it out. For anyone else who might have this problem, I hadn't authorized my computer. It's an option in iTunes within the Store menu.
