How long are the warranties for the 5th gen?

I got mine in april and now I have a rainbow through half the screen for some reason. Is it still covered or am I out of luck?

I'm pretty sure that the 5th Gen iPods have a 1 year Apple warranty. I would definitely go to Apple and get it checked out quickly, just in case it's only 6 months or something weird like that.
