My phone freezes at Restoring iPhone Firmware. What do I do?

I want to return my phone and just get a touch. This **** is to much hassle.

But how can I get it in a state where I can just return it?

Did you mod it before the update?

Yes I did but I have it back down to 1.0.2.

The firmware update doesnt complete I just unplug it and run apptapp and go from there.

But how can I just make it normal so I can return it without them thinking I hacked it.

Im getting really tired of this phone

Is it possible just to call apple and pay them to fix it in this hacked state?
